Nadia Ryder, a talented photographer hailing from South East London, began her artistic journey with a fervent passion for painting, transforming her family home into a vibrant canvas of oil paints. Influenced by the evocative works of artists such as Egon Schiele, Millais, Rossetti, and Jenny Saville, Nadia's artistic vision has always been deeply rooted in the exploration of emotion and the human experience. At the tender age of 13, Nadia acquired her first Canon camera from eBay, igniting a lifelong fascination with the art of photography. She quickly became known for her relentless pursuit of capturing ephemeral moments, often to the exasperation of her friends and family. This early obsession has evolved into a profound exploration of spaces once inhabited by people, where she finds a haunting beauty in their silence. Warm tones reminiscent of sunrises and sunsets permeate her work, offering both comfort and depth. In her own words, Nadia reflects on the complexities of womanhood: “Women possess an incredible ability to be soft yet strong, vulnerable yet resilient. This beautiful dichotomy makes photographing women a true joy, as we are so multifaceted.” Her mother, a single working parent and entrepreneur, serves as a powerful inspiration, instilling in Nadia a deep respect for women and their stories. Nadia's professional journey includes a Photography Degree and valuable internships at esteemed institutions such as Interview Magazine in New York, Leitzes & Co, and Rankin Photography. Her diverse experience culminated in a role as a Styling Assistant and ultimately as Art Director and Production Manager for the fashion brand Jigsaw. This extensive background has equipped Nadia with a unique understanding of the industry, setting her apart as a rising star in contemporary photography.
