Miles Aldridge
Bio
**Miles Aldridge: A Captivating Exploration of Glamour and Unease** Miles Aldridge emerged as a formidable force in the mid-nineties, captivating audiences with his striking, highly stylized photographs that weave together threads of film noir, art history, and pop culture. Renowned for his masterful use of color, Aldridge conjures elaborate mise-en-scènes bathed in vibrant, acidic hues. His glamorous, often eroticized images delve deep into society’s idealized visions of domestic bliss, revealing the sinister undercurrents that lurk beneath seemingly flawless surfaces. With a prolific career spanning over twenty-five years, Aldridge stands out as one of the few photographers who still embraces the art of shooting predominantly on film. His diverse creative output includes large-scale c-type prints, Polaroids, screenprints, photogravures, and drawings. Born in London in 1964 to the celebrated art director and illustrator Alan Aldridge, Miles's fascination with photography ignited at an early age, sparked by a Nikon F camera gifted by his father. He honed his artistic sensibilities studying graphic design at Central Saint Martins, where he graduated with a BA in 1987. Initially working as an illustrator and music video director, Aldridge shifted his focus to photography in the mid-1990s. In
