Michelle Tran

Born and raised in Melbourne by Vietnamese refugee parents, Michelle Tran began her photographic studies with a strong documentary exploration into cultural identity through portraiture. When she began shooting commercially, she applied her interest in people to fashion, creating a refined diaristic approach that is both delicate and candid. Making a personal connection with her subjects, Michelle puts people at ease in front of the camera, allowing her to weave their story into every shot. Her portfolio includes portraits of global celebrities such as Kendrick Lamar, Dannii Minogue and Christian Louboutin, while her fashion/advertising work spans brands including Adidas, MECCA, Amazon, Moroccan Oil and Myer.
