He started his journey in the film industry as an editor and later transitioned to filmmaking, holding a BA in Film and New Media Studies from Davidson College in North Carolina. His tenure at the renowned ad agency Wieden+Kennedy in Portland, Oregon, sharpened his skills in managing the intricate dynamics between clients and artists while producing compelling visual content for major brands such as Powerade, Coca-Cola, and Procter & Gamble.
