Martin Stanev is a talented illustrator and author currently residing in the UK, where he weaves enchanting narratives through his distinctive artwork. His debut picture book, "The Planet in a Pickle Jar," garnered critical acclaim, being recognized as one of the best children’s books of 2021 by The Guardian and translated into over seven languages worldwide. Drawing inspiration from vintage illustrated books, print ephemera, historical narratives, the wonders of the natural world, and the bittersweet essence of childhood nostalgia, Martin’s work is characterized by its emotional depth and playful charm. Originally hailing from Bulgaria, Martin pursued his passion for illustration at Falmouth University in the UK.
