Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Marc Hom embarked on a transformative journey to New York in 1989, following the completion of his studies at the Danish Art Academy. His early career in the bustling metropolis began with an intensive eighteen-month apprenticeship alongside renowned New York photographers, where he honed his craft and developed his distinctive style. Hom's breakthrough came with a prestigious commission to capture the artistry of the Vienna Ballet. Immersing himself in the world of dance, he spent six months photographing the ballet's principal dancers and directors, culminating in a stunning collection of 80 images that showcased the grace and elegance of the performers. Upon returning to New York, Hom's career took a monumental leap forward as he began collaborating with industry icons such as the late Liz Tilberis and Fabien Baron at Harper's Bazaar.
