Léa Nielsen is a Copenhagen-born photographer whose artistic journey began with a passion for dance. At the age of 16, she moved to London to pursue professional training in dance, an experience that deeply informed her later work in photography. After honing her craft at the School of Photography in Copenhagen, Nielsen collaborated with a variety of esteemed fashion and art photographers in Denmark, enriching her visual language and technical expertise. Nielsen's artistic vision is a captivating blend of inspiration drawn from architecture, art, and cinema. Her photographs oscillate between minimalism and intensity, evoking a sense of both simplicity and drama. Many of her works incorporate elements of collage and striking graphic finishes, creating a unique aesthetic that is both opulent and theatrical. Having spent several transformative years in Berlin, Nielsen now artfully divides her time between Copenhagen, Paris, and London, allowing her to absorb the rich cultural influences of each city.
