Bio
Kirsten Ulve is an award winning illustrator and designer living in New York City. Her work has appeared on the covers of magazines, in international ad campaigns, on the sides of buses, on Broadway marquees, in animated cartoons and tv commercials, and in the form of games, watches, and toy figurines around the globe. Her diverse expertise includes fashion and beauty illustration, caricature and character development, editorial and conceptual illustration. Her work has been featured in the American Illustration Annual, the 3 x 3 International Illustration Annual, and in Taschen's book series “100 Illustrators” about the 100 most important illustrators in the world. Kirsten has exhibited prints of her work in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and has a permanent installation of oversized prints on view at Innside Hotel Meliá in New York City. Her collectible silk NYC souvenir scarves are available at the Guggenheim Museum Store (as well as in her online shop). Kirsten currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and two black cats, Romulus and Remus.
