Kaley McKean is a dynamic Canadian illustrator whose vibrant artistry breathes life into the pages of children’s books, editorial pieces, and beyond. With a Bachelor of Design in Illustration from the prestigious Ontario College of Art and Design, Kaley has dedicated over a decade to honing her craft across diverse sectors, including publishing, advertising, and packaging. Her work is characterized by a masterful blend of bright colors and organic textures, creating lush, immersive scenes that draw inspiration from the natural world, folklore, history, and the realms of fantasy. Each illustration invites viewers into a captivating narrative, reflecting Kaley’s passion for storytelling through art. Residing in Toronto with her partner and fellow illustrator, Nolan Pelletier, Kaley finds joy in nurturing her eclectic collection of plants and animals. In her leisure time, she can often be found tending to her flourishing allotment garden or embarking on mushroom foraging adventures in the nearby woods.
