JJ is a dynamic photographer, director, and artist based in Queens, New York, whose creative journey is fueled by a relentless curiosity for the world around him. With a strong Midwestern foundation from his upbringing in Chicago, JJ embodies a collaborative spirit and an unwavering work ethic that defines his artistic practice. His true passion lies in the vibrant energy of the set, where he thrives as both a creative force and a storyteller. JJ’s lens captures a diverse tapestry of culture, from the electrifying atmosphere of rodeos and the bustling streets of New York to the elegance of synchronized swimmers and the intensity of high school football games. His work reflects a fascination with the human experience, often leading him to photograph unique subjects, including falconers and everyday strangers in cities across the globe. His artistic contributions have garnered acclaim from prestigious organizations such as American Photography, the Art Directors Guild, Print Magazine, Archive, Communication Arts, and the AIGA 360 Design Annual. In 2016, he further solidified his place in the art world with the publication of his photo book, "Acey Deucey," by Silent Face Projects.
