Jana Pokorny is one of Australia’s most influential fashion authorities. Her career spans the full sartorial spectrum, from glossy editorial shoots to brand consulting and creative direction. During her 20 years on leading Australian title Marie Claire, Jana inspired a generation of women with her expert curation and unique dissection of the latest fashion trends. Her expertise and industry knowledge is unparalleled, and as the magazine's Fashion Director, she worked tirelessly to share her passion and mentor a stable of talented stylists. Jana’s job has taken her around the globe, creating sumptuous shoots in jaw-dropping locations from Peru to Zanzibar, and collaborating with world-class photographers, models, hair and make-up artists. She spent many seasons at Paris and Milan fashion week, where she gleaned inspiration to bring home. Today Jana continues to champion Australian design, whether unearthing new talent or collaborating with iconic names. She’s currently working as a freelance stylist and creative consultant, both editorially and commercially.
