With a rich background in art history and cinema, Hampus was on the brink of completing his doctorate when he had a pivotal realization: he yearned to craft his own artistic narrative rather than solely interpreting the visions of others. Hampus’s diverse experiences in the creative realm have honed his distinctive style, which predominantly revolves around the enchanting possibilities of paper. His fascination with animated storytelling ignited while writing an article about the emerging Vine app, where he captivated audiences with vibrant, short-form animated videos that showcased the beauty of his chosen medium. His innovative approach quickly garnered him a substantial following, allowing him to further explore a whimsical visual universe filled with bright colors and playful, voluminous shapes. Drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of influences—including toys, comic books, furniture design, graffiti, jazz, and disco—Hampus believes that the tactile quality of paper can elevate a project, infusing it with a unique charm that sets it apart. His impressive portfolio includes collaborations with renowned brands such as Samsung, Target, Cisco, Fazer, Portfoliobox, and Chattyfeet, showcasing his ability to blend artistry with commercial vision.
