Forest Woodward
Bio
**Artist Bio:** Growing up amidst the artistry of the Woodward family and the wild spirit of nature, I have been shaped by the enchanting landscapes of point breaks and powder-filled days, steep creeks, and soaring peaks. As a passionate seeker of natural light and genuine moments, I navigate the world as a visual hunter-gatherer, driven by an insatiable thirst for the unknown and a profound sense of belonging. My journey began in the darkroom, where I immersed myself in the art of photography, mastering the zone system and processing 4x5 negatives. This foundation ignited a lifelong passion for capturing the essence of diverse cultures and experiences. From documenting surf culture in the bustling streets of New York to exploring the lives of migrant farm workers in Napa Valley, rock climbing in the breathtaking cliffs of Cape Town, and engaging with the vibrant street kids of Rio’s Carnival, my lens serves as a bridge to share these captivating stories. Each adventure fuels my creative evolution, reminding me to approach my work with humor, compassion, and an unyielding curiosity. I am dedicated to inviting you along on this journey, where every image tells a tale and every moment is a shared experience. My work has been featured by esteemed clients including Patagonia, Filson, J.Crew, CamelBak, and Black Diamond, among others. I have also contributed to renowned publications such as National Geographic Adventure, Outside Magazine, Esquire, and The Guardian, showcasing the depth and diversity of my photographic narrative. Join me as we explore the world through a lens of wonder and connection.
