Feifei Ruan is a dynamic illustrator and visual storyteller whose vibrant creations resonate from her base in Los Angeles. Originally from Shenzhen, China, Feifei’s artistic journey began with a degree in graphic design from Guangzhou University. Her passion for visual narrative led her to the United States, where she earned an MFA from the prestigious School of Visual Arts in 2013. Feifei’s diverse portfolio is a testament to her versatility, showcasing her work across various platforms, including book covers, magazines, websites, merchandise, and billboards. Her artistic style uniquely blends elements of Eastern classicism with the imaginative realms of science fiction and fantasy, captivating audiences with its rich storytelling. Her talent has garnered significant acclaim within the industry, with her works recognized by esteemed organizations such as the Society of Illustrators, AOI, Spectrum, 3×3, and The Library of Congress. Among her numerous accolades, she proudly holds the Gold Award from the 2019 Promax Awards, the Gold Medal from the 2018 SOI: MoCCA Awards, and multiple honors from the CLIO Awards in 2020. Additionally, she received the Bronze Cube at the ADC Awards in 2019 and 2018, as well as the Grand Prix at the Hiii Illustration International Competition in 2016. With a commitment to visual storytelling that transcends borders, Feifei Ruan continues to inspire and engage audiences with her imaginative illustrations, making her a prominent figure in the contemporary art scene.
