Eric Ogden is a Brooklyn-based photographer and filmmaker whose artistic journey is deeply rooted in his formative years in Flint, Michigan. Growing up, he channeled his creative energy into drawing, music, and the discovery of filmmaking and photography—outlets that provided both inspiration and refuge. This rich tapestry of childhood experiences continues to inform his work, infusing his imagery with a profound exploration of psychology, childhood wonder, and the complexities of life in the Midwest. Ogden’s editorial photography captures a diverse array of cultural narratives, ranging from the poignant issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation to the charged atmosphere of Election Day in Flint, Michigan. He has documented significant moments such as the first Women’s March and the pervasive impact of violence on communities across America. His compelling visual storytelling has graced the pages of esteemed publications, including *Wired*, *The New Yorker*, *The New York Times Magazine*, *Esquire*, and *Billboard*, among many others. In the commercial realm, Ogden has partnered with a variety of notable brands and agencies, including Puma, Adobe, , and Nike, as well as prestigious entertainment entities like Paramount+, Showtime, and Lionsgate. His work seamlessly bridges the gap between artistic expression and commercial viability, showcasing his versatility and keen eye for impactful imagery. As a writer, producer, and director, Ogden has crafted several short films that delve into the human psyche. His latest work, the unsettling psychological drama *MOTEL*, garnered the Grand Prize for Best Editing at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and was selected for prestigious showcases like the Montclair Film Festival and Aesthetica Film Festival. His filmography also includes the offbeat comedy *The Call*, featuring Anna Kendrick, which received the American Photography AI-AP Motion Art Award, and *Nocturne*, a haunting exploration of America constructed entirely from historical found footage that premiered at the Cinequest Film & VR Festival. Ogden’s creativity extends to directing music videos for major labels such as Capitol Records and Warner Records, as well as commercial spots for Puma and Fast Company.
