Doug Rosa
Bio
From the moment Doug Rosa stepped into his father’s darkroom at the tender age of eleven, curiosity ignited a lifelong passion for photography. Although his initial enthusiasm led to a swift ejection for experimenting with chemicals, this early encounter set the stage for a remarkable career. Today, Doug operates a vibrant studio in New York, where he crafts some of the world’s most iconic still-life imagery. Doug's journey into professional photography began as a necessity to fund his college education. His first entrepreneurial venture involved selling buttons adorned with his photographs on the sun-kissed beaches of Santa Cruz, California, each priced at a modest three dollars. Graduating with honors, Doug packed his 1966 AMC Rambler, loaded with his camera and dreams, and embarked on a cross-country odyssey to New York—where he has since carved out an extraordinary niche for himself. Over the years, Doug has collaborated with a plethora of prestigious brands, including Apple, Barney’s New York, Bulgari, Cadillac, Canon, Coach, DeBeers, Diet Coke, Movado, Nike, Samsung, and Verizon. With an unyielding dedication to his craft, he has earned the title of the undisputed master of the hero shot, capturing the essence and allure of each subject with unparalleled skill and artistry.
