Diego Merino, a dynamic visual artist, was born and raised in the vibrant cultural landscape of Spain. He holds a degree in Film Studies, which laid the foundation for his early career in the cinematic world. As a Camera Assistant on various films and TV commercials, Diego developed a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling through visuals. His passion for photography ignited during this time, leading him to work closely with some of Spain's foremost photographers. In 1998, Diego took a bold step by relocating to New York, where he further honed his craft as the full-time first assistant to the acclaimed fashion and celebrity photographer Tom Munro for over three years. This invaluable experience not only refined his technical skills but also enriched his artistic vision, allowing him to cultivate a unique voice in photography. After establishing a solid foundation in New York, Diego moved to London, where he quickly began to build an impressive portfolio and an extensive client list. His work has garnered recognition from prestigious names such as GQ Magazine, Financial Times, Persol, Next, Mister Porter, Hackett, Esquire, Harrods, The Rake, and H&M, among others. Today, Diego Merino divides his time between London and Barcelona, continually drawing inspiration from both cities as he creates compelling visual narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
