CLAIRE DRISCOLL DELMAR Creative Director Claire Driscoll (Delmar) leads the eminent STUDIO CD in the creative practises of residential and commercial interior design and styling, editorial interior, food and cookbook styling, concept store ideation and visual merchandising, advertising campaigns and TVC’s. Claire is renowned for creating elevated soulful spaces, that transcend modern trends through her expert use of texture, materiality, tone and colour. Her intrinsic creativity spans a diverse and notable career, which began with the completion of a Bachelor of Media degree, immediately followed by work experience at high-profile magazine publisher, Marie Claire. From there she continued her trajectory into the editorial world, spending many years as a fashion stylist, before deciding to focus on her passion for interiors. This intuitive change of direction saw Claire enjoy great success as Style Director for Home Beautiful magazine until 2006, where she swapped the editorial world for an opportunity to share her knowledge and expertise in a Style and Design Co-Ordinator role at the Whitehouse Institute of Design. True to form, it wasn’t long before Claire progressed to Department Head of Advanced Diploma of Styling and Design. Claire’s long-held passion for editorial projects eventually lured her back into publishing in the role of Style Editor, for Inside Out magazine. There she was able to further cultivate and hone her affinity for interiors, and continue to develop her signature timeless style in a nurturing and highly creative environment. Back in the creative world of styling, Claire was inspired to seek work overseas. This move saw her stretch her creative wings internationally in several freelance roles in London, working for renowned Elle Decoration UK and Living Etc magazines, as well as many advertising and commercial clients. Her extensive overseas travel and passion for art and design directly influence her work and provide a continual source of inspiration. Returning to Australia with a wealth of experience, Claire set to work founding Studio CD while continuing to pursue freelance styling opportunities and expanding her skills in the culinary world for Gourmet Traveller magazine, along with exciting conceptual projects within the advertising industry. Today, led by Claire as Creative Director, Studio CD is at the forefront of the styling world. Having procured an enviable roster of high-profile clients, including some of Australia’s most well-known architects, interior designers and brands, the studio works on an ever-evolving range of creative projects, that are regularly featured in editorial publications such as Vogue Living, Elle Decoration UK, Est Magazine, Design Anthology, Art Edit, Yatzer, Inside Out and many others, both in Australia and overseas.
