Bio
Growing up in a quaint town just outside the bustling Boston metro area, I was shaped by the rhythm of the changing seasons. Winters blanketed the landscape in snow, giving way to a long, rainy spring that breathed life into the world around me. By late May, summer unfurled its vibrant tapestry, with trees adorned in lush green leaves and the air buzzing with the sounds of life—from the persistent hum of fat black wasps to the playful chirps of frogs and the rustle of crayfish in the swamp, our winter ice-skating haven. My journey took a significant turn when I moved to Los Angeles during my high school years, settling in another small, rustic town. This new landscape was painted with the rich hues of tumbleweed and cactus, while manzanita and yucca dotted the hillsides that rose majestically like golden waves under the summer sun. I hold a Bachelor’s and a Master of Fine Arts degree from California State University, Long Beach, where I honed my skills as both an artist and a illustrator. My professional journey has been diverse, encompassing roles from carpenter to contractor, and even college professor, where I taught multimedia design, Adobe Illustrator, and digital character animation. Yet, the most rewarding chapter of my life has been my role as a stay-at-home dad, a position that has offered me invaluable lessons in creativity, patience, and the art of nurturing. Through these experiences, I continue to draw inspiration for my work, weaving together the threads of my past into a rich tapestry of artistic expression.
