His talent has earned him multiple selections for the National Portrait Gallery’s Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize and recognition in the annual publication American Photography. As a filmmaker, Chris has directed moving image commissions for high-profile clients like Avis, Anthropologie, Mr Porter, Space NK, Topshop, UBS, and Virgin Radio, showcasing his versatility across various media. His passion for creating powerful imagery is evident in his extensive list of sitters, which reads like a "Who's Who" of the cultural elite, including luminaries such as Damien Hirst, Paul McCartney, Nicola Adams, Rooney Mara, Steve McQueen, David Attenborough, David Bowie, Robert De Niro, Jennifer Hudson, Cate Blanchett, Victoria Beckham, Bill Murray, Boris Johnson, and Mo Farah. Many of these portraits are featured in his recent monograph, *NOT JUST PICTURES*, where he reflects, “If you know how to do what I do, you can make anyone forget why they’re there, and when you reach that moment, all kinds of secrets reveal themselves.” Chris and his photography are also spotlighted in the six-part series, *Icon: Music Through the Lens*, aired on SKYArts, which offers a captivating exploration of the rich history and cultural impact of music photography. Deeply committed to social issues, Chris creates poignant and thought-provoking imagery. His award-winning covers for *Men’s Health* address the critical male mental health crisis, featuring portraits of students from the Oasis Academy in South London. His recent cover commissions have highlighted significant topics such as the Black Lives Matter movement, with a focus on accidental hero Patrick Hutchinson, and a candid conversation on masculinity and living with HIV featuring Gareth Thomas. When he’s not behind the camera, Chris is known for crafting an exceptional New York.
