Cheryl, a New Jersey native, embarked on her artistic journey while pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art History. It was during these formative years that she unearthed her passion for photography, which would shape her vibrant career. Relocating to New York in the mid-1980s, Cheryl began her professional path as a assistant, quickly transitioning to significant projects, including her first major commission with Levi’s. Renowned for her evocative street photography and compelling documentary filmmaking, Cheryl masterfully blends her unique aesthetic with commercial endeavors, earning prestigious commissions from leading brands such as Diesel, Woolrich, Nike, and Adidas. Her critically acclaimed 2013 documentary, "Everybody Street," not only garnered multiple awards but also received extensive screenings at prominent film festivals around the globe, including the esteemed Tate Modern in London. The film offers an intimate look into the lives and works of New York's legendary street photographers, capturing the essence of the city that fuels their creativity. In 2021, Cheryl released her feature-length documentary "Moments Like This Never Last," a poignant exploration of the life and legacy of the late artist Dash Snow. Currently based in New York, Cheryl continues to push the boundaries of her artistic vision, inspiring audiences with her powerful storytelling and striking imagery.
