Bio
Cedric Porchez, born in 1962 in the vibrant city of Paris, is a distinguished artist whose journey into the realm of photography began at the esteemed Gobelins School, from which he graduated in 1984. That same year, he was honored with the prestigious Gamichon Prize, recognizing him as one of the finest talents in his class. Specializing in Still Life photography, Cedric has since collaborated with leading advertising agencies and luxury brands, crafting visually stunning works that elevate the art of commercial photography. His meticulous attention to detail and unwavering perfectionism set him apart as a true image constructor. Cedric's artistic vision is exemplified in his acclaimed exhibition "Mynusculus Horribilis," showcased in 2009 at the Brasilia Gallery and the Buffon Museum. Here, he transformed the ordinary into the extraordinary, capturing the intricate beauty of insects and inviting viewers to see the world through a new lens. "I grab material, I make it mine, and then I rebuild it to give the image a reality that doesn’t exist to the naked eye," Cedric explains, encapsulating his innovative approach. More recently, his landscape photography reflects a unique synthesis of curiosity, technical expertise, and creative insight, allowing us to experience the world as he envisions it—a realm where imagination and reality converge in breathtaking harmony.
