Caitlin Chescoe is a London-based British portrait and documentary photographer renowned for her profound exploration of community through the lens of everyday life. With a keen eye for detail, Chescoe captures the rich tapestry of human experiences, celebrating the beauty found in the ordinary and the narratives that shape our lives. Her photographic journey is deeply intertwined with her heritage, blending her contemporary work with archival imagery to create compelling long- and short-term projects that resonate on multiple levels. A graduate of The Arts University Bournemouth, where she earned her BA (Hons) in Photography, Chescoe has rapidly established herself as a significant voice in contemporary photography. In 2023, she released her debut monograph, "Belief & Truth: Inside the Freemasons," published by Guest Editions, which offers an intimate glimpse into a unique world. Recognized for her exceptional talent, she is a two-time winner of the prestigious Portrait of Britain award in 2021 and 2022. Her work has been showcased in various exhibitions across the UK, including the acclaimed Brighton Photo Fringe Festival, where she continues to engage audiences with her insightful storytelling and artistic vision.
