Brendan Wixted is a dynamic photographer and director of Portuguese and Irish American descent, whose artistic journey is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of storytelling. After earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography in 2013, he relocated to New York, where he has since cultivated a distinctive voice in the visual arts. Brendan's passion for photography blossomed in his youth while skateboarding, as he began capturing the essence of his friends and the vibrant culture surrounding the sport. This initial foray into photography naturally evolved into a fascination with fashion, allowing him to explore new narratives and styles. His work is characterized by a relaxed and collaborative approach, resulting in images imbued with a sense of ease and spontaneity. Drawing inspiration from Americana and cinema, Brendan embraces an intentionally imperfect aesthetic that challenges conventional beauty, inviting viewers to engage with the raw and authentic moments he captures.
