Bio
Bersa, also known as Anders Holmberg Gorgén, was born in 1961 and has been passionate about photography since childhood. After studying photography at Kulturama, he initially worked as a chef for several years at the restaurant Tranan before transitioning to a career in photography as an assistant to Kent Billeqvist. Bersa spent three formative years in New York City, working as an assistant to notable photographers such as Alex Chatelain, Barry McKinley, and Mikael Jansson. A significant turning point in his career came from a half-year stay in India, where his photographs were transformed into a music video for Tomas Ledin. This launched his professional journey. Due to commercial projects and travel affiliations with brands like Kappahl, Marco Polo, NK, and Arla, Bersa has spent substantial periods in cities like Los Angeles and Sydney. For the past decade, he has been based in Stockholm while embracing travel as a crucial aspect of his profession. His work is characterized by an international flavor, a spirit of wanderlust, and a strong connection with his subjects. Bersa's emphasis on energy, vivacity, and authenticity is evident in his photography. His client portfolio includes both commercial giants such as H&M, Adidas, Casall, Stadium, ATP Atelier, Björn Borg, and major editorial clients like Café, Plaza, and Elle Australia, among others.
