Bio
Angalis Field (he/him) is a multifaceted writer-director and photographer based in New York, currently pursuing an MFA in the Grad Film program at NYU Tisch, set to graduate in 2023. A proud alumnus of Barnard College, Columbia University, where he earned a B.A. in English in 2016, Angalis's artistic practice explores the nuances of contemporary transness through a distinctive lens of intimacy and formalism. His work has garnered attention from esteemed publications such as The New York Times, GQ, Artforum, OUT, Teen Vogue, and Pitchfork, among others. Angalis's directorial debut short film, "The Dalles," is scheduled to premiere in 2023 under the distribution of Aspect Ratio. With another short film and a feature project currently in development, Angalis is poised to further contribute to the evolving landscape of queer representation in visual storytelling.
