Andree Ljutica
Bio
Andree, a New York native, draws inspiration from the rich cultural tapestry of his upbringing—his father hailing from Montenegro and his mother from the heartland of America. This unique heritage infuses his work with a profound sense of cultural duality, shaping his creative vision at every turn. With a distinctive style characterized by brooding minimalism and a keen eye for graphic composition—skills honed during his training as a painter—Andree's artistic approach masterfully balances the formal and the human. He deftly intertwines narrative depth with atmospheric resonance, crafting images that resonate with both emotional weight and visual clarity. His narrative and documentary films have captivated audiences around the world, screening at prestigious venues such as Sydney’s renowned Flickerfest and the Dance on Camera Film Festival at Lincoln Center. His latest film, "Punta Cana," has gained recognition as an official selection at esteemed festivals including the Palm Springs International Film Festival and the Guanajuato International Film Festival. Additionally, his short film “How to Say I Love You at Night,” a poignant seventeen-minute single-take exploration of a date gone awry between two young men, is currently making waves on the international circuit, having been showcased at numerous Oscar-qualifying festivals, from Flickerfest to the Manchester International Film Festival, and returning home to the New Jersey International Festival. In the commercial realm, Andree has collaborated with an impressive roster of clients, including Nike, Air Paris, the Brooklyn Museum, Everlast, Naked Music, Slashed by Tia, Boooom, Teen Vogue, Flaunt Magazine, and Phosphenes Magazine. His diverse portfolio reflects not only his artistic versatility but also his ability to weave compelling narratives across various mediums.
