Sophie Jones, Photographer, London

Description

A portrait of a young child captured mid-cheer with eyes closed tight and mouth wide open in excitement. Both fists are clenched and raised near the shoulders in a gesture of triumph. The subject wears a bright green headband across the forehead and a short-sleeved t-shirt featuring green and grey horizontal stripes interspersed with playful sports-related graphics including tennis rackets, a soccer ball, a trophy, and a swoosh logo. The background is a solid, muted blue tone. The lighting is direct and warm, highlighting the child's expressive face and the textured fabric of the apparel.
