Yana Yatsuk, Photographer, New York

Description

This intimate monochrome portrait by photographer Yana Yatsuk captures a woman from behind, her body angled slightly as she looks back over her shoulder toward the camera. She has long, dark, damp hair falling across her back and shoulders, framing the side of her face. Her arms are crossed loosely in front of her. The lighting is moody and low-key, emphasizing the curves of her spine and shoulder blades against a dark, seamless background. The shot carries a raw, candid feel with high contrast and deep shadows.
