Description

A smiling woman walks across a New York street crosswalk while holding a large open black umbrella overhead. She wears a dark jacket and trousers, laughing candidly with her head turned slightly upward. The scene is shot in a monochrome palette with high contrast, capturing urban street movement in the background including blurred cars and a cyclist. Natural daylight illuminates the subject against the cityscape. The photograph was captured by photographer Andrew Day.
