Description

This striking cross-section image reveals the hidden subterranean world beneath a tree. The lower trunk rises out of a grassy mound under an overcast sky, transitioning sharply into a dense, sprawling network of woody roots embedded within dark, textured earth. The composition contrasts the natural growth above ground with the complex, organic architecture of roots below. Photographed by Andric, the image utilizes natural light and sharp detail to emphasize the earthy tones and intricate textures of the soil and root system.
