Description

This interior photograph features a high-angle close-up of a warm-toned wooden coffee table arranged with various decorative objects and reading material. A sculptural lamp with a pale shade sits on the left, its cord snaking across the polished wooden surface. Nearby rests a small dark dish and a stack of books topped with a patinated bronze sculpture. An additional book lies flat on the table further back. The table rests upon a richly textured, pink-toned carpet that fills the lower portion of the frame. The lighting creates gentle, directional shadows across the tabletop elements, emphasizing the tactile qualities of the wood, paper, and metal surfaces. Photographed by Clément Pascal for The Somerset House project.
