About

This surreal high-angle photograph captures an unexpected moment on a busy city street where a large polar bear stands among pedestrians near a crosswalk. The sun casts a long shadow from the bear across the textured pavement, while cars and a bus are visible in the background near a traffic light. Several people wearing casual clothing and carrying shopping bags walk nearby, seemingly unaware of the animal. The composition creates a jarring juxtaposition between urban street life and Arctic wildlife. Retouching was performed by Elise Healy in Sydney, blending the composite elements seamlessly into the sunlit street environment.
