Stephen Dupont, Photographer, Sydney

About

This stark portrait by photographer Stephen Dupont captures a young man in a hooded top emerging from deep shadows. He holds a handgun in the foreground, illuminated by harsh directional light that highlights his face while the rest of the composition remains shrouded in darkness. The low-key lighting creates a dramatic, high-contrast atmosphere with rich monochrome tones and visible film grain texture along the borders. The subject's intense gaze directly engages the viewer against an undefined dark background.
