Shane Mccauley, Photographer, New York

Description

This portrait photograph by Shane Mccauley captures the lower half of a person standing on a blue tennis court with white boundary lines. The subject holds a tennis racket overhead, partially obscured by a warm orange and yellow light flare grading across the upper portion of the frame. A white sweater with striped trim is tied securely around their waist over a red skirt, complemented by ankle socks and sneakers. To the right, a black wire hopper holds numerous yellow-green tennis balls. The composition is shot from a low angle behind a net, creating depth and a distinct athletic atmosphere.
