Description

This vertical photographic still life captures a vase of dark purple scabiosa or similar globe-like flowers arranged against a vibrant yellow ribbed background. The composition features a distinct visual glitch or optical refractions, causing parts of the stems and blossoms to duplicate or shift horizontally across the fluted surface. The amber-toned glass vase holds multiple long, slender green stems supporting the dark spherical flower heads. The lighting emphasizes the vertical striations of the background and the translucency of the glassware. Captured by photographer Sebastien Coindre in Paris.
