Scott Thompson, Photographer, Chicago

Description

This moody landscape photograph by Scott Thompson captures a man standing on a rocky riverbank while gazing across a misty body of water. The subject wears a khaki shirt, cap, and grey waterproof waders, blending into the atmospheric natural surroundings. A low-hanging mist drifts across the dark surface of the river, while a weathered tree branch juts out from the opposite grassy bank. The color grading leans heavily into cool blue and deep green tones, creating an introspective and cinematic mood. The ambient light suggests early morning or late dusk, enhancing the quiet isolation of the scene.
