Sarah Hickey, Director, Sydney

About

This reflective portrait video features director Sarah Hickey speaking in Sydney, interspersing present-day interview segments with intimate childhood archival footage. The modern sequences capture the subject in low-key, natural lighting inside a contemporary interior, while vintage home-video clips show her dancing and growing up. The visual narrative creates a personal exploration of memory, ambition, and artistic evolution. Directed by Sarah Hickey, the piece balances observational documentary techniques with reflective storytelling.
