Sandro, Photographer, Chicago

Description

This dramatic monochrome portrait captures an elderly man with a prominent white beard and textured skin in close-up profile. His hand is pressed against his forehead in a contemplative gesture, while his opposite arm crosses in front of his chest, emphasizing the stark play of light and shadow across his features. The high-contrast black-and-white grading accentuates the deep lines on his face and hands. Captured by photographer Sandro in Chicago, the image employs stark tonal contrast to focus entirely on the subject's expression and tactile details.
