Rudy Willingham, Artist, Los Angeles

About

An artist's hand holds a printed paper cutout up against a natural canopy of vivid red autumn leaves and a clear blue sky in Los Angeles. The paper sheet displays a portrait of Napoleon wearing a bicorne hat, with his coat seamlessly filled by the photographic texture of the actual red foliage held behind it. The text Napoleon and November 22 appears printed across the top of the white paper. Bright natural daylight illuminates the scene, highlighting the detailed texture of the maple leaves framing the cutout.
