Rose Marie Cromwell, Photographer, Miami

Description

This intimate portrait photograph by Rose Marie Cromwell captures a woman with her eyes closed as she sits inside a galvanized metal stock tank filled with water. A large block of ice rests in the water near her hands, which are held up in a gentle gesture. The scene is illuminated by direct flash lighting, creating high-contrast reflections on the metallic surfaces and the water. In the background, a dark chain-link fence is faintly visible. The composition is tightly framed around the stock tank, emphasizing the tactile qualities of the metal, water, and ice.
