Description

This landscape photograph features an empty asphalt road stretching straight toward the horizon under a dense, monochromatic yellow atmosphere. A line of wooden utility poles with overhead power lines recedes into the distance along the right side of the road. Faint headlights from a distant vehicle glow softly through the thick haze. The surrounding fields and distant trees are muted and obscured by the heavy fog-like conditions, creating an eerie and isolated mood. The image was captured by photographer Margaret Lampert in San Francisco.
