Rahim Fortune, Photographer, New York

Description

This black and white photograph by Rahim Fortune captures a quiet urban street scene lined with a row of traditional multi-story residential townhouses. Bare deciduous trees stand in front of the buildings, their intricate branches creating a delicate pattern against the overcast sky. The asphalt road in the foreground runs parallel to the sidewalk, grounding the composition with clean horizontal perspective. The monochromatic grading enhances the documentary quality and architectural textures of the weathered facades. Natural ambient light casts soft, diffuse shadows across the scene.
