Description

This vertical night photograph captures an overturned tree root system centrally framed within a dense, dark forest. The tangled, fibrous root mass is intensely illuminated with warm and reddish light, creating a dramatic contrast against the surrounding deep shadows. Tall, vertical tree trunks recede into the blackness of the background, where a small sapling stands faintly lit to the right. The composition focuses entirely on the organic textures of the weathered wood and earth under nocturnal conditions.
