Ralph Gibson, Photographer, New York

About

This striking nocturnal architectural photograph by Ralph Gibson features a geometric water feature illuminated by bright perimeter lighting against deep shadows. The composition contrasts sharply lit water sprays with dark, reflective surfaces, creating a moody and abstract visual experience. Bold typographic elements reading POLITICAL ABSTRACTION and the artist's name are integrated into the frame. The high-contrast black-and-white tonal range emphasizes textures of water and masonry.
