Pol Kurucz, Photographer, Los Angeles

Description

This vivid and surreal image by photographer Pol Kurucz presents a densely packed composition filled with intense magenta and pink tones. On the left, a tall pink flamingo stands beside a small grey-blue goat looking toward a slice of strawberry cake. A hand with purple-polished fingernails and a fluffy pink sleeve holds up the large layered cake, upon which a small green parrot rests. The ornate background features a gilded, carved headboard against a textured red wall, accented by a drooping yellow floral garland. The dramatic lighting and saturated color grading enhance the theatrical, dreamlike quality of the tableau.
