Pieter Hugo, Photographer, Cape Town

Description

A shirtless young man stands on an asphalt city street holding a worn skateboard vertically by his side. He wears a patterned headscarf wrapped around his head with long ends hanging over his shoulder, dark loose-fitting cargo pants, and green skate shoes. The background shows blurred traffic, cars, and distant figures under a warm, overcast sky. The portrait is captured with natural lighting and a shallow depth of field, emphasizing the subject against the urban environment in Cape Town by photographer Pieter Hugo.
