Pieter Estersohn, Photographer, Los Angeles

Description

This interior photograph by Pieter Estersohn captures an eclectic hallway and staircase. A grand staircase features an ornate dark metal railing and patterned carpeting, ascending along walls covered in richly textured green and patterned wallpaper. The wall is densely adorned with a gallery arrangement of framed landscape and figurative prints in gold and dark wooden frames. To the left, an arched wall niche holds an ornate mirror mounted above a rack filled with a collection of walking sticks and canes. Natural and warm interior lighting accentuates the detailed woodwork, patterned tile flooring near the entrance, and the layered historical character of the space.
