Joyce Kim, Photographer, Los Angeles

About

This stark black-and-white photograph by Los Angeles-based photographer Joyce Kim captures a mysterious figure riding a bicycle at night. The central subject wears a dark, textured full-head mask with visible weathering or light patches and a striped long-sleeve sweater bearing the word Atlanta across the chest. The low-key nighttime setting shows a car parked on the left and residential structures dimly lit in the background. High-contrast monochrome grading emphasizes the grainy texture and dramatic shadows of the scene.
