Pernille Loof, Photographer, New York

Description

This vertical still life photograph features a vintage metal electric desk fan resting on a tall cylindrical metal stand next to a dark reddish-brown wooden multi-drawer cabinet filled with scattered papers and small objects. The background is composed of a complex layered collage of materials, including newspaper pages, vertical strips of burlap, yellow fabric, and grey draped cloth against a dark surface. The lighting is soft and diffuse, highlighting the weathered textures of the metal, wood, paper, and textiles. Captured by photographer Pernille Loof, the composition highlights raw, tactile materials and vintage industrial props arranged in an eclectic display.
